Subdivisions & Legal Surveys

Browne Johnson can guide you through the process of subdividing your land, creating a strata development, or other legal land uses. We're proud to offer our clients "full service" consultation, taking land development projects from initial concept to creation of final marketable parcels.

We can also perform many other types of legal surveys, such as:

  • Boundary staking and re-posting
  • Statutory rights of way, easements and covenants
  • Roads, highways and railways
  • Crown land acquisition and tenure
  • Park boundaries
  • Natural boundary definition and accretion

Building Location Certificates

BC Land Surveyor's building location certificates are often required for mortgage, real estate, or building inspection purposes. Browne Johnson Land Surveyors provides clear documents and rapid turnaround to make sure your home sale or new building progresses easily and quickly.

Site Surveys & Layouts

Site surveys show existing features on your parcel to aid in design and land development planning. Site surveys can show topography, surface features, access, and utilities. Browne Johnson customizes your site survey for its intended use to make sure all relevant information is included. Site surveys can be delivered in PDF, paper and CAD formats.

Common uses of site surveys are as follows:

  • Architectural design
  • Engineering design
  • Riparian Area Regulation (RAR) applications
  • Land development planning

Once the design is ready, Browne Johnson can perform a layout survey to show contractors where to build. In areas where buildings are close to setbacks or property lines, a layout survey can be a critical part of making sure your building is positioned correctly.
